    If politicians have low salaries you end up with people who want to be politicians because they really want to help people. If politicians get high salaries then the only people who want to be politicians are people who want the money. And that's what's happening here (and in most other places). Very few politicians give a rat's arse about Japan or its people, they just want to make a lot of money.
