Of COURSE they would drop such a ban. Anything to perpetuate the monarch that is the LDP. Jackasses.

So the earlier LDP pledge was nothing more than a pack of lies intended to give the impression of change.
As for the "transparent" selection process, it's already quite transparent: if your dad was the previous MP then you will be the next candidate.

If politicians (especially Japanese politicians) weren't forked-tongued snakes in the grass, then maybe people would consider a serious career in politics and it wouldn't be so difficult. Predictable LDP decision.

I hate Japanese politics. The LDP and bureaucrats have put Japan in an irrecoverable position economically. They are dinosaurs. They can never change. They are protectionist. They will be over thrown though. In twenty years this place is gonna explode into chaos. The bureaucrats and politicians will be too scared to leave their homes.

Wrong tense, bobba. They lost the last election.
You're right about the dinosaurs, though.

actually I think the democracy here is a farce as the bureaucrats run the show as Hatoyama is finding out now as they expose a little of his financial affairs which no doubt are the tip of a huge iceberg.
So my point is LDP/DPJ same ol same ol. I hope the young in japan overthrow these politicians and bureaucrats.

So it is back to business as usual, with the LDP further perpetuating the shallowness of their DNA pool. No wonder certain politicians come across as being genetically-altered (in the worst possible sense).

I hope Mori has a son, and then he can be PM. Maybe his approval ratings will be negative so he can beat his Dads ratings of 8% support.
Of course they lied about this. If they had won the election they would have reversed the policy too. Who decides these things, the Dads.

I agree. I can't trust any politicians in the world. They can be no more trusted than lawyers in general.
