Let's hope the Japanese people vote properly this time and kick the LDP out of politics for at least 10 years.

With the "charismatic" Aso as their new leader the LDP will, once again, win the election. Then, six months later, his popularity will be in the 20% - 30% range.

You wouldn't think it possible that the electorate could be duped by the same trick over and over again, yet they are.

To summarise:

New LDP leader: LDP popularity = 70%. Six months of LDP gaffes / scandals later: LDP popularity = 30%. repeat ad infinitum.
