fascist #2 Abe leads fascist #1 Ishihara and fascist #3 Hashimoto. Looks like fascist rule for at least the next year.

There are already many Japanese who want to get out (immigration) Japan for safety if Abe becomes a PM of Japan. My house is open for all. I did not realize it all comes to this. This is a beginning of end of Japan.

Globalwatcher - there are only three issues for this election: - TPP yes or no - Sales Tax increase yes or no - Nuclear Power yes or no

All parties are pretty much lining themselves up around those soundbytes.

Ozawa and Ishin are talking about administrative reform, SDP is talking about US military forces in Japan, Ishin and LDP are talking about constitutional reform and militarization. But the rest is all just soundbytes.

Politicians do not run, or have much meaningful power in Japan, especially under the LDP. This election is meaningless as a result. I don't see what there would be to emigrate over. Nuclear power perhaps, if that really bothered you... But what else?

@globalwatcher I don't think Abe as PM will cause Japanese to leave in droves. A quick shrug of the shoulders as Japan goes back to its usual pork-barrel, stagnant and reactionary ways under the LDP will be the time-honored reaction.

Remember, I cannot for Japanese election as I am not a Japanese. I once lived in Japan and many friends are still there. Regarding to your question above, I am aligned with Noda for all these issues. Japanese needs a big structural change in economics. What it mean is that Japan needs to change old model of export driven economy to new domestic consumption driven economy improving standard of living for common people. .

Hope so, but many Japanese friends are not so optimistic. If they are willing to come here, I am ready to help them.

@globalwatcher: Japan needs to change old model of export driven economy to new domestic consumption driven economy .

It has been said from the mouth of PM Nakasone back in 1980s and what has happened? Japan just cant doing that and japan needs an export market bigger than United States to pull her out of economy idle! And it was too bad the inevitable of joining the TPP due to US political pressure will lead the nation to chaos. Noda will sign the TPP in the last day he is in office and leave it to Mr Abe! and the frustrated Japanese farmers will storming Tokyo for an answer!

Yes, you can do it. Japanese economic strength has been artificially inflated in the past 50 years. The distribution of wealth was only for a big business at expense of the middle income people. No matter what you are trying to say, you cannot stop this globalization. Speaking about TPP, Noda is not that stupid. More negotiation will be needed.
