Wow ! many political parties pledges but can it be implemented... The good pledge I read is " draft a new constitution to replace the current one written by the United States shortly after World War II." It's about time to change or revise your constitution.

Typical Agence France Presse: "The Democratic Party of Japan is a centrist group" and "LDP president Shinzo Abe is a hawkish ideologue."
I'd better said "left-of-center" and "more conservative than some predecessors", or something like that, but these characterizations are too much for the media.
