The most expensive aircraft in the world that nobody wants,

The cost for ONE of these is $337,000,000.

A $1 trillion dollar turkey that doesn’t come close to fulfilling its original requirements and won’t survive a dogfight with advanced Russian and Chinese jets.

On an IT (?) site.

Bertie, I won't argue with you regarding it's a turkey or not, but try to provide a less laughable link. Thanks.

The F-35 isn't the first jet to go awry from the original plans, and nor will it be the last. When dealing with jets like the F-35, setbacks are to be expected. There are always kinks to be worked out, and they will be. Once they're tweeked and finalised, they will be more than a match for Russia's Sukhois and China's.... Russian Sukhois. The only real problem is their price tag, which unfortunately has run quite high thanks to all of these development issues. That's just what happens when you try to develop a cutting edge multi-role fighter jet that's supposed to be ahead of its time.

It seems a little strange that Suga is suddenly unavailable for comment. How many days ago was it that he said Japan's economy was in recovery mode? 1? 2? Besides, shouldn't the increase in the defence budget cove this cost? Japan has revised its pacifist constitution to allow for collective self defence, as well as lifting its self imposed ban on exporting military hardware. Their sudden reluctance to do this seems like a U-turn. I know, I should expect that with politicians, but I'm still calling it as I see it.

It's way behind schedule and is still is nor mass producible . The price tag could solve poverty in many countries I hope it works as planned or we see more money going to the military industrial industry that heaven knows has taken enough.

There's still less need for a F-35. The U.S. already has the most advanced fighter jets. Skip it, save the money and develop for the next fighter after that.

That's a lot of cash for a Viagra substitute.

Hope that Israel doesnt get those F35 to start shelling the palestinians that attack with handmade rockets with a 0.5% sucess rate
