I just can't believe there is a ministry just for this minute issue. Unbelievable.

Minister Kyoko Nakayama is doing what she can within the limitation that she has in pursuing efforts to bring about the return of the Japanese citizens abducted by North Korea. Thank you Minister Kyoko Nakayama.

3 of the 12 Japanese citizens abducted by North Korea are dead. 9 are still alive. The 9 that are still alive are Megumi Yokota, Yaeko Taguchi, Rumiko Masumoto, Miyoshi Soga, Tadaaki Hara, Toru Ishioka, Kaoru Matsuki, Keiko Arimoto and Minoru Tanaka.

No sympathy for the government, although these citizens did not deservve their fate either.

The government which was responsible for the comfort women program has been tried prosecuted and destroyed. The government responsible for the kidnappings still exists. There is no comparison. If one were to continue to justify each wrongful action by a previous wrongful action, there's never be any wrongful actions. Should we justify Imperial Japan's WWII actions by citing the 13th century attacks on Japan by the combined Mongol, Chinese, Korean armies? How about the massive invasion of people from te Korean Penninsula which started the Yaoi Period of ancient Japan? Comes a point where one has to be realistic and use what Japan did to NKorea during the 1970s-1980s as a comparison, not 70 years ago.
