    Do they really think that the US care about a few alleged abductions from decades ago that the Japanese themselves have made little little effort to resolve over the years?

    There are bigger issues to resolve first...

    Japan needs to stop playing revolving PM, get it's house in order, amend their constitution, partake as a full responsible member of the international community (read Somalia, Afghamistan) if they want their own issues to be taken sreiously by others.
