He inspected the plant? Didn't know he had a degree in nuclear physics

@hereforever - He visited the plant and toured it! Then looked at various buildings and installations from a safe distance. Then again, it's about the same as the inspections conducted by the previous Japanese nuclear regulators and safety inspectors.....

Outsiders like me still think some part of new installed radioactive material will leak to earth or underground water or sea.

Wonder how many other prime ministers from the past would have done what Noda did ... personally inspect the crippled nuclear power plant. When the going got tough they took the easy way out by quitting ... and if they faced a trip to the battered plant they surely would have called it quits and passed the baton to someone else.

Better to get first hand knolage to gain the gravity. Good job, hope he stays in for round 2.

What he said: “As a Japanese, I want to thank you for exerting yourself in a frightening and demanding environment,”
What he didn't say: "Thank you for sacrificing the rest of your own lives for the future of Japan."
What he said: “Without Fukushima’s revival, Japan’s revival will never happen. I want you to make further efforts toward the decommissioning of the reactors,”
What he didn't say: "You guys will have to keep doing it; sure as hell no-one else will. Good luck."
