    "An international panel on nuclear nonproliferation and disarmament opened a meeting Sunday in Hiroshima, the world’s first city to suffer an atomic bombing, seeking ways to bring about a world without nuclear weapons."

    I hope they addressed Japan's desire for the US to keep it's long range nukes.

    Am sure that Iran will be the first in line to give theirs up. And next in line will be China and North Korea - right?

    Japan has nukes inside the US territories inside Japan, the recently declassified documentation from the US proves this.

    Ogie - First to give up their nukes will be Pakistan when the Taliban takes over the government there and uses them on the U.S. in revenge for getting their butts kicked out of Afghanistan 8 years ago. Next in line will be Russia, China, France, the U.K., India and Israel. N.Korea will keep theirs as a bargaining chip to get more free oil and food.

    A "nuke free world" isn't going to happen in anyone's lifetime that's reading this. I'll admit, it does sound like a nice kind of utopia, but it just doesn't seem realistic at all. It's like dreaming of a world where no one's feelings get hurt.

    I guess it's good to have think tanks continually analyzing options...but I'm just one of those people who think the time and resources would be better spent elsewhere.

    Toothless committee filled with political has-been's who still managed to stay on the government payroll. Sitting around agreeing that nukes are bad.

    This isn't a think tank. This is a group filled by patsies so their respective governments can con the voters into thinking they really do intend to remove nukes from the world someday.

    Peace through superior firepower. Not a nice peaceful-lets-hold-hands-and-love each other thought, but an effective strategy for maintaining world peace.

    Nukes = World peace

    Keep seeking, next generations can still handle it and pass it to the next.
