And I think he is helping it by being nice to China, and rude to Japan.

Obama should just shut up instead of sounding even more like a fool.

The Chinese tirelessly invoke the principle of noninterference in the internal affairs of nations to shield their domestic conduct from foreign scrutiny. But China turns a blind eye to the new balance being struck in international law. (universal protection of human rights, rights of self-determination ).

Umm, a little off topic, but there hasn't been a budget passed in 4 years. Ever since Republicans took over the House, Harry Reid has been afraid to even address it. 4 years, and Harry Reid wouldn't bring a budget up for a vote in the Senate. Instead they've gotten by with continuing resolutions. An actual budget would be a nice change, regardless of whether or not Obama signs it.

The American war machine at work. Obama should be more concerned about cleaning up his own backyard before trying to clean up everybody else's. The Eastern U.S. is starting to look more and more like something out of the Stone Age. And Japan is more than capable in dealing with China. China may have the numbers, but they don't have the technology! And with the amount of corruption and back room deals in China, they'd done if war broke out!

To the Obama haters, Congress hasn't had any say in foreign policy for 4 years and they ain't going to have any say for the next 2. This is good, because we don't want a chickenhawk like McCain deciding things.

Return the land back to the native Americans, Hawaii to Hawaians and other territories to their original inhabitants, then China might give you some credibility.

How so? It is just a warning to China; the only danger of conflict in Asia is solely because of China's aggression. China does what it does because it views Obama as a very weak president, and that is true to a point, so it hopes it can bully smaller countries without US interference, but it is never quite sure what the US might do if it goes too far.

Obama may be a very weak president, but the US military is not weak. Dumb as the Chinese goverment may be, probably even it knows its military is no match for for the US or even Japan. That's why China only goes so far with its provocations.

In fact he is not the very weak president. He is the realistic Realist. US has waged two wars in last decade. The consequence was that wars have never ended and US has been footing the mountain of bills.

Unlike Russia, China has not used force for getting their way. While Obama is attending G20 summit at Brisbane, Russia warships were approaching Cairns which is so close to Brisbane.

Obama has attended APEC at Beijing. China did not show him any warships as their strength. True China is more assertive now. However it is still manageable and approachable unlike Russia and ISIS.

I am not a fan of Commies of China. However PRC and Vietnam have already fought with US back in 1950 and 1970 with bamboo sticks, axes and shovels. Therefore US military mights is more suitable for defeating terrorists instead of stronger nations such as Vietnam, PRC and Afghanistan.

Stronger motivation and higher moral are more important than military hardware . Both Russia and US have failed in Afghanistan. Does that poor nation have military might as Russia and US?

In fact he is very thoughtful president and understood about limitation of US military adventures. .Obama understood that waging war needed huge funding. Irag war funding was come from China and Saudi. He is not willing to borrow more money. He will not waste US Marines and Pilots lives for other nations national prides.

It is true! China military alone can not match with US or even Japan. However Russia is getting hostile with both US and Japan at the moment. If Russia and PRC will become ally as US and Japan, that equation will be changed. Obama was born in Vietnam war era and he had seen US has never won the successive wars except gulf war I since he was born.

Obama will be remembered as one of the best presidents of USA in the history for not rushing to go to war and not wasting the fortune and not losing the countless lives.

This is true, but China was not involved in the same way as the Viet Cong in the Viet Nam war. When you are a peasant farmer, you can endure a considerable amount more than people who live with modern comforts. Also, I don't think a corrupt party can generate high moral for a couple of rocks.

Well of course you will. You have the 2nd and 3rd largest economies out there. You wouldn't want to risk upsetting two such profitable nations. Obama sees China and Japan as a couple of giant cash piñatas, and he's desperate to whack them open.

Whether they are remote islands or right in the heart of the home land is irrelevant. Trying to swipe territory belonging to other nations is wrong. End of story. It doesn't matter if these distant islands are inhabited by a hundred people or a hundred goats, any attempts to invade them would be a breach of international laws and an act of war. If Obama can't understand that, then closer ties are going to be impossible, because inevitably this point will come up, and block the development.

Which it isn't. It harasses and bullies its neighbours, trying to steal their land amid false claims of ownership, it antagonizes Japan because of hurt feelings dating back decades. For China, WWII is still going, and it won't end until they've crushed and subjugated Japan.

They show up late to the war, do a half arsed job of helping out, then take all the credit for the victory and claim they saved everyone from Hitler. Well sorry old beans, but Britain and Russia were the true heroes. Both countries fought against the Nazis from the outset, and we didn't need your late help. The saying "better late than never" is not applicable here. But,, unfortunately, America saw fit to butt in, and they've got it stuck in their heads that the world can't function without them. So not true. Since then, they've tried to police the world, dictating what we can and cannot do, and trying to make out that we need them. We don't. We can manage. We've managed for millennia. Nothings changed, other than the growing annoyance with America and its arrogance. So I will question America's resolve and commitment, when it's built upon a fallacy. Many will question America. Many already do, and many more are coming to see why. What trust can there be in a country that invades others for their oil, that dictates what others can or cannot do, that lies and steals from its own people, and that spies upon its allies? Without trust, America's actions will always be suspect.

Diplomacy? What diplomacy? "We're right, you're wrong. We saved the world from Hitler, so you owe us." That's the 'diplomacy' we can expect from America. Development? The only thing America has consistently developed is its own ego. "The power of our values"? Those are some questionable values, when you spy on your allies, steal from your citizens, and take credit for the achievements of others. We're talking about a country that refuses to revise gun control laws despite the number of innocent people (including children) who have been killed because the current laws don't do squat. What can anyone gain from those values? Obama should not have mentioned the military either. You don't make allies with tanks. Especially when you offer to share those tanks only as long as your "friend" does everything you say.

Just another laughable speech from a demon who tries to paint himself as a martyr. I wonder how many of the G20 leaders were laughing at him behind his back, mocking his hypocrisy and blatant lies.

All these negative comments about President Obama from people who will never attain what this man has. Remember people he is still the most powerful man from the most powerful country in the world, besting all who challenged him with ease. Nonsense. Nazi Germany was already sustaining heavy losses by the time America got off its corpulent backside to help out. Our pilot aces were already decimating theirs, while our navy sunk their U-Boats. America did nothing to change the tide of battle, but they sure as Hell took credit for it. As for starvation: again, nonsense. We might have had to ration food for a little longer without American supplies, but that's about all. We didn't need America's help. We never have, and I highly doubt we ever will. Same with Russia. They've been able to look after themselves for ages.

@careing: What kind of logic is that? Anyone who is jealous of power doesn't deserve to be called Human. There's a reason why "Absolute power corrupts absolutely" is a saying. Because it does. Nothing good can come of being the most powerful. It just causes others to resent you, especially when you abuse that power. Besides, if Obama was really so powerful, then why is ISIS still in existence? Why has he had so many problems with Obamacare? Why is it that Russia can defy him so casually? Because he's not as powerful as you make him out to be. Obama can't enforce new laws without the approval of Congress. He can't start a war without their approval either. Obama is just a man, same as any other. Don't forget that it was the voters who made him President. It is the voters who hold the power. They decide who they want leading them. Really, they are more powerful than he is. He could just as easily have lost the elections, but he was chosen by the voters.

While I have nothing but respect for the sacrifices of the British in WW2, you are ignoring the fact that the US fought the war in the pacific almost ENTIRELY by itself. Proof? Midway: all US ships. Okinawa: all US ground troops. Oh sure, you got some Indians to hold the line for you in Burma, but the naval engagements are what mattered in that theater. I guess you figure you would just wait the Japanese out while you built a new fleet and sailed it to the other side of the world. Oh and in terms of current strength, I suppose you think your non-existent aircraft carrier will be useful to Japan. If the US wants to exercise empire, that is its choice and you are not in a position to stop us. I'm done with you now.

The war in the pacific was between Japan and US only, so of course the US fought by itself. That was never our fight, only America's. We were busy dealing with the very real threat of Nazi Germany. You speak of building a fleet and sending it to the other side of the world, but that would also apply to Japan if it had chosen to fight Britain. It didn't. It targeted America. And don't even start with current strength, because America's has been slipping. Proof? ISIS, North Korea, Russia. All of these are able to exist despite America's so called strength, and they defy the US at every turn. As I said, if the US was as powerful as you seem to think, then there would be no terrorist attacks, no extremist factions, no renegade dictatorships. The US is not as powerful as you want us to believe, and it won't get any stronger any time soon. That's one of the reasons that I and many others will not be taking Obama seriously in matters of keeping peace and preventing territorial disputes. He doesn't have the influence, the strength or the resolve to make good on his commitments to Asia. His pivot will hold for the time being, but it only takes a nudge from China or North Korea to bring it crashing down around him. Obama would be better off staying out of the conflicts for now, but making sure that he upholds his promise to defend Japan in the event of an attack by China. Anything more would be expecting too much, and he won't deliver.
