Oh No? Kono seems non-committal however any ordinary Japanese can assure Pelosi that Japan will continue refueling mission in Indian ocean.

speaking out my opinion : -

Japan should not continue it's anti terrorism refueling mission in the Indian Ocean. Japan should stop getting it's hand dirty in a war that is not Japan's war and fight in the first place. Japan needs to make it's stand for it's sovereignty and independence from any US influence. Japan should stand up against the US Government by saying NO.

"a war that is not Japan's war and fight in the first place"

Some 20 Japanese nationals died in the attack on the World Trade Centers on Sept 11, 2001. So how is fighting terrorism not "Japan's war"?

Pelosi is just out to impress her VERY Conservative Democrat base that she's just as "concerned" for the war on terror as they are. Pathetic.

By that logic, you are advocating that the relatives of every innocent victim of a US attack should join the forces against the US and its allies.

Japan has a vital role to play on the world stage. This isn't the isolationist Edo period, and seeing that Japan wants the U.S. to pay attention to its problems with N. Korea--i.e. the abduction issue--Japan needs to pull its head out and step up to the plate.

Victims of US attacks, such as Al Qaeda or the Taliban and their supporters? They are already against the US and it's allies. They don't need to join anything.

gObama - If Japan wants to move forward into the future, she must atone ofr her past....
