Pentagon chief says U.S. opening new phase of Asia pivot

Oh great news. Now the spread of militarization will solve the problem of those pesky rebels.

The Obama administration is opening a new phase of its strategic “rebalance” toward Asia and the Pacific by investing in high-end weapons such as a new long-range stealth bomber, refreshing its defense alliance with Japan and expanding trade partnerships, Defense Secretary Ash Carter said Monday.

Three cheers. Countries like Vietnam, Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, etc. need to be assured that China won't be allowed to simply bully the smaller countries in Asia.

Meaning, countries such as Japan, Vietnam and pinoy will be cannon fodder for the US, as long as it doesn't put US in harm way.
