What Ma says is true. Or, Japan can simply side entirely with China and treat Taiwan as a part of China. It can go either way.

Japan does absolutely nothing without deep thought-out reasoning, thus I report there are all sorts of alarms sounding off in my head. Remember, that Formosa was once a possession of Japan. A great performer can tap dance while he is picking your pocket.

Japan has no intention of reconquering Taiwan. Not even far-right nationalists believe that Japan should. Japan has long believed in Taiwan as an ally of sorts and a democratic counter to China. Once again your ridiculous anti-Japanese claims are unfounded.

I say that it's good for Taiwan as well, Taiwan needs Japanese trade and investment unless they wish for re-unification under the PRC

They wont. So long as China doesn't use excessive force in taking Taiwan, the US and Japan will complain and criticize but they wont actually do anything. If the Taiwanese willingly reunify with China without any use of force, then the US/Japan wont even complain, they'll be disappointed but they wont say/do anything.

Texas is right! No matter Taiwan want to get reunification or even independence, it's nothing to do with others, especially those who still thinking about old empire times ~~ don't you know those empire generals already executed death penalty........ anyway, you are free to dream something like you being King of Asia, and you can own comfort women from different countries as many as u want...... not bad dream, really !
