After this Crimea annexation, there is no doubt US will have to divert a tremendous amount of resource and pivot back to Europe. Russia is much more dangerous than China. China still thinks and worry too much, Russia just doesn't give a F. They shoot first and talk later.

Visiting Mongolia is a great move since Mongolia has a strong affinity to Russia. Dancing on Russia backyard and buffer to China is an interesting move. At the very least, we know China is not totally on board with the Russian on Crimea. So plugging China further away from Russia will be hugely beneficial to us.

Why do they call this guy a "defense" chief, when mostly what the US seems to want to do is to start wars?

He's the defender of American weapon industry profits. With a plan to put Japan deeper into debt by forcing them to buy more American weapons.

China needs to change its traditional detached attitude toward security issues. It is part of the problem and needs to become part of the solution.

You said it!

CrazyJoe - China is not the problem. The biggest threat to world peace right now is the U.S.A.

You appear to know nothing about Chuck Hagel, he is a hawk when it comes to reducing the military, he's a republican who voted against Iraq, and Hagel and Obama are currently taking down the military industrial complex of the Bush years, Hagel is one of the most anti-military politicians in Washington
