U.S. official urges Japan to back India nuclear deal arguing it would strengthen nonproliferation efforts. Interesting, could not the same type of deal be struck with Israel and Iran, thereby strengthening non-proliferation, and more importantly, non-use efforts? Amazing, peace might break out all over!

I believe the translation here is "Shut up, Japan. We don't care about you."

it's an order to Japan with instructions. i wouldn't even bother with them. and who's supposed to not have any nukes, and who's to keep their's, not to mention the one with the largest arsenal on the earth and who has actually used them on living, breathing human beings?

A good joke. But there will be fewer and fewer NTP members. If they continue this kind of comedy, Japan will have to consider leaving the NTP framework "expeditiously".

Japan has already left the NPT framework, surreptitiously!
