I don't think there will ever be a nuclear war with NK because they know they can't win. Their constant threats against the world w/ their nuclear missiles are their only "meal ticket."

Not because having nuclear weapons and delivering them are too seperate issues. If push comes to shove, I think the safe money would be on Uncle Sam.

safe bet is NK being turned into a glass plate should they go down that road and they know that.

I think China needs reminding that, should it get real hot, NATO and U.S. aim, as the PRC flunkeys at a certain Belgrade Embassy learned, isn't what it used to be.

I hope North Korea disappears and gaijin can make a big Taco Bell there and Burger king and a video game center, Shopping center, a Mall, a strip club and all that. Because it really sucks now over there. we can make the gaijin nation, a better place than Japan.

Having a nuclear weapon is one thing, but getting it to where you want it to go is something different. At the moment NKs best delivery system would be a ship & after last week even they are now severely restricted. But given time they will work it out how & they are always given time, money, food, fuel & whatever they need to keep going.

“I don't think there will ever be a nuclear war with NK because they know they can't win”

I’m sure we have all seen this same reasoning before & we might all see it as perfectly sensible reasoning, which it is. Sad thing is NK is not a normal country & it is a mistake to believe that would act sensibly. The entire population has been living in a padded cell for 60 plus years, if there ever was a sane person there they have long since lost sight of the real world. We should never credit the other person with sane reasoning, they might not have it.

There are two issues here. First, how far will the dear little leader go with his tantrums? How far does his insanity go? Hitler became more and more irrational near the end. When the Ill little leader realizes that his legacy will amount to nada - what then?

Second, you can only stay at this level of belligerance and heightened readiness before somebody makes a mistake. When you are playing with nukes a mistake will have consequences far beyond "oops" level.

China has procrastinated far too long and has allowed a despot with no sense of responsibility to the world at large to acquire nukes. The Chinese need to step up to the plate and end the Ill regime before a disaster occurs. There is nobody else who can do the job.

ca1ic0: I agree, China is the key to reigning in NK.

I think it worth noting that I do not fear a nuclear war.

I do however believe that one might happen.

North Korea is a paper tiger !

I fear the NK "leader" is crazy and would do anything. It would make him famous in his eyes. It would make him a "big" man.

North korea quallified for world cup in south africa.

Let them prove how good they are in world cup 2010 via soccer sports.

If their team does well in world cup 2010, they will get better.

Together with team japan, team south korea and team saudi or team bahrain, they top in asian football/soccer.

I fear the tadpoles falling from the sky more than an NK attack.

The Financial Crooks know that war is a great way to make money and to endebt the Japanese people. This "conflict" should have ended long ago, but there is too much money making potential to give it up.

I don't see war, but I see Japan buying more war material at a time when these monies could be better used to help Japanese and others. But the financiers (fleecers) don't want that.

The elite of the NK regime is more interested in get more money than in kill people. Is all about money, allways.
