not planning on seeing any of them actually. i wouldn't consider any of them worthy of being in a blockbuster category as they are all sequels. a couple of them are even on their 4 or 5th time around. c what happens

“they are all sequels. a couple of them are even on their 4 or 5th time around”

I didn’t at first notice, but your right. Has nobody in the film business got an imagination any more? I also agree that I will not be wasting time & money going to see any of these. Ah! Just realised “Angels & Demons” is not a sequel as far as films go, just a Dan Brown rehash, not sure if that is the same though.

By the way, isn’t the term “blockbuster” just a way of describing a film that the most sheep enjoy?

The only 3 movies I will pay to see is Star Trek Terminator Wolverine

Terminator and Wolverine will be the two box office performers

I am tired of Harry Potter movies The two commentators above really needs to get out more.

saw angels and demons last night. was alright. didn't finish watching the davinci code, so can't quite gauge how it compares. i do wonder, though, why you might go and see the films if you've read the books, as i have, unless you go with someone who hasn't

i'm preying that terminator salvation is as good as i hope it'll be. bale doesn't seem to get involved with poor scripts

    Of course Star Trek.

They actually made a Transformers sequel? And a Terminator movie without Schwarzenegger?

  • 0

    Sarge

I see that Star Trek is still #1 in its second week.

  • 0

    LostinNagoya

Star Trek. A&D is laughable, too shalow, I have heard.

Why is there no box for "none of the above"? This an example of how to to conduct a biased poll. Give 6 idiotic choices and ask "which one".

  • 0

    RangerMIFFED

OK, and how about a box for "All of the Above." Or just vote on which ones one is planning to see. Over to you.

    Sarge

    Lost - A&D?

Willi - Star Trek is not an idiotic choice. I know that much and I haven't even seen it yet.

"Angels and Demons" doesn't quite count as a sequel. It's actually a prequel, if you need to put a label on it, having been written and taking place chronologically before "The Da Vinci Code." And it certainly doesn't count as a remake, having never been made into a movie before.

I'm looking forward to "Star Trek" and "Terminator", both long-standing icons from my formative years, as well as "Transformers" (the guilty pleasure of the three). Harry Potter can wait 'til DVD, but I'll probably catch "Wolverine" and "Angels and Demons" sometime before the summer's out. No rush though.

According to Don Morton, the Metropolis movie reviewer, A&D is not worth seeing.

Star Trek Rocked. Best Trek film ever.

None of the above. Why is so much entertainment recycled lately? Terminator? Enough already. The first film of the series was great. Now there's a TV series out which really just beats the whole concept to death.

Too many movies are boring as hell lately.

Past tense. Pick up the Blu-ray.

Oh ya? We seem to get stuff over here on cable that's already gone in the States, like that piece of poop series 'Shark'. What is/was it 'The Sarah Conner Chronicles' or something like that? First time I heard it I thought snore.

The poll is about summer blockbusters. The list of films are the most anticipated - by many measures - blockbuster films. I'm not saying I'd want to see them all - or even any of them (OK, Star Trek) - but it really seems odd to take the time to post a comment about how much contempt you have for the films, the poll, the system, the blah blah blah.

    Seriously guys, get over yourselves.

UNfortunately the only one I dont really wanna see because Michael Bay ruins everything he touches is Transformers and I think thats the only one that comes out in japan same time as everywhere else.Japan is one of the last countries in the entire world to get Star Trek, even Pakistan get it first so the Taliban can see it before we do.

The entire point of this board is for people to post their trivial opinion and feel good about themselves.

You express your thinking when you vote...so when you dont want to vote for these "blockbuster" but you want to express your opinion, you have to post...

"trivial " or not, thats your problem !

I kind of surprised at the popularity of Star Trek in 2009. Forty years after it flopped on network TV, it has become the Paramount franchise that refuses to die, even after half the cast and its creator have gone out into the universe. The question is, what will they call the sequel? Star Trek--The Sequel?

So you don't have Blu-ray player? Bummer. No need to get upset, they're coming down in price.

    IchyaWarFare

Just get it on DVD, it is cheaper. Hi-def is fine, no need to get all extravagant on it, unless you got the money to burn.

Speaking of which...I will watch them in the base theater. $2 bucks a pop, no sweat if it sucks or not. Not paying no outrageous prices to go see it.

Remakes are becoming quite common, Hollywood has run out of new ideas.
