Miyuki Nakayama, a spokeswoman for phone maker Sharp, which is introducing a new flip phone that operates on 4G LTE networks. For the first time in seven years, shipments of old-school flip phones increased in 2014 while those of smartphones fell. (PC World)

Japan is also possibly the only wealthy nation where there is still plenty of demand for CD players and fax machines.

I do no thave a phone. Best thing that ever happened to me.

I do have a IP Land line though, but I turn it off all day and evening unless I need to make a simple call. Phones use a lot of energy. Unplug everything people. Save some money.

It's all about preference ......I've never had a Smart Phone. I have had a Motorola Razor for.....8 years, I think. All I pay is $40 a month and it works just fine for my needs.
