Fukuda, though he may be a nice man and even a superior human being to Koizumi, projects the image of every tired, ineffectual and miscast prime minister ever inflicted on the proud and needy Japanese.

Tom Plate, a professor who teaches issues of the media and politics of contemporary Asia at the University of California, Los Angeles. He says Japan badly needs someone like former Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi as leader. (Japan Times)

    Coligny

I think the French can sell them Sarkozy, huge discount, come with Italian wife, somewhat used but look like new... Aside from the fact that he's useless, expensive to run, vulgar and noisy. Can be a perfect replacement for Koizumi, they have the same love for cameras, being with lame actors and share the same limited cultural knowledge.
