That's nice, but since I can't afford to buy hardly anything at Mitsukoshi, partly due to Mitsukoshi having to pay Ms. Kondo to stand at the entrance to greet customers, I go to Don Quihote or other discount stores where I won't be greeted ny name when I go in, but I can have a short conversation with the usually friendly cashier when I pay for my stuff .

Thank you is more than just good manner but it is also beneficial to the self. Being grateful can improve well-being, physical health, can strengthen social relationships, produce positive emotional states and help us cope with stressful times in our lives.
