...i guess it depends on personality of individual. i met a friend back in a Japanese IT standards training. her parents are, a Japanese father and a Filipina mother. Her father doesn't acknowledged her, so she is unable to visit him in Japan, and she grew up in Manila with her mom. If we pass the Japanese IT standards certification exam, an engineer visa is almost always granted. We worked hard for it and fortunately passed. Then, she visit her father. She didn't asked for any financial support, she just wanted to see her father. She didn't sulk , feel depressed or doubt herself in anyway. She is proud that, she accomplished many things in her life, because she just dreamed of having a happy family.

Grow up and stop blaming others for your miserable life.

I think this woman should more likely put the blame where it really belongs on the Japanese culture and laws that give Zero rights to the non custodial parent.

Just read other articles on JT about parents trying to see their children and the custodial parent refusing even minimum visitation rights and the archaic belief that it is best if the child is raised in only one family.

@Kronos; Thanks for the link JT should have put that up because the sensational tittle here does not reflect on the true nature of the article or the fact that she found her father and the reasons they were separated!
