If the situation goes unchecked, our university may end up becoming a place where illicit drug deals are conducted by organized groups, as at U.S. universities.

    Yes, we can't let Japanese universities get as bad as U.S. campuses, can we? I wonder if Nishimura has even visited a U.S. university.

    I guess he really doesn't get around the campus much. If he thinks that just because parents and kids have spent countless hours from kindergarten to grade school, doing juku and all of the other things that go along with getting a good test score to get in there, that once the kids get away from home (in the Japanese sense) that they are not going to experiment?

    There are organized groups selling drugs at US universities? What does he mean by "organized groups?"

    It's been a while since I was in college, but I don't remember anything like that :P
