In Japan the company apologizes beacuse it was careless enough to get caught doing wrong. Hee Hee!

The whole country is all form and no substance. Apologies don't have to be sincere, they just have to look sincere, and they just have to be done. At the earliest opportunity.
Don't forget what the apologee was wearing, did he shave his head, how long was the press conference, and was his mum telling him what to say or not.
