The problem is that these hotel support the prostitution and illegal affairs. I have never been to such a hotel as I do not want to help such idiots like Kiyoto Hirano return their investments.

LoveUSA, you're looking at it wrong. Love Hotels are used by everyone who needs privacy, and it keeps people from having sex in cars or in other embarrassing places. Since in America, the ONLY way a person can have sex with his girlfriend if he lives at home is to move out with her, living unmarried because he wants to have sex (which is a biological urge), that's what he does, and then of course they get pregnant because that's what happens. Love hotels keep this from happening, and are a serious boon to just about any one, depending on what point you are in your life. Thank God Japan is not as prudish as you.

Funny how everything Jpeople do and invent are all wrong but when it comes to love-hotels americans should learn from Jpeople? This is what I gather from some comments here. Prostituition, exploitation, crime. Why do you think that this culure is not copied in other countries?

A little off base, but the main thing I believe is that in America it is customary that when you reach a certain age, you move out and start off on your own. That does not mean that you will move into a "deluxe apartment in the sky" but that if you want privacy, you either: 1)find a job to get money to move out 2)move into a single place with a few friends, but you leave the home

Love hotels aren
t just for some ppl looking to get their lovinon either. Go to a new town and forgot to make a reservation at a hotel? You can easliy crash at the nearest rabu. OR, due to the ahem rest or stay options, you can catch a few zs before boarding a train, etc. With rents as high as they are, this is also one of the ONLY ways young Japanese can have a private sex life as most still live with their parents before (sometimes even after) marriage. Dont knock it till you try it!Back to top
