Japan and Russia are the only two G8 countries that do not ban civil possession of child pornography.

    dammit

But surely the G8 only consists of 8 countries?

I want to know how many countries there are in the world that do not ban civil possession of child pornography.

    Then I'll be really interested.

    dammit

Besides, if a quarter of the G8 countries allow (in effect) child porn, what use is the group of 8 anyway?

what use is the group of 8 anyway?

It's to make rich countries richer. No one puts too much pressure on these two countries, because their money is needed.

Well, as long as the possession of the child pornography is kept civil, then there should be no complaint. But once the possession becomes egregious, then we have a problem. Interesting how possession of CP is tolerated and legal whereas possession of a naturally growing plant (cannabis or magic mushrooms) brings severe prison time. The whole CP industry requires victimization in order to thrive; much like pachinko.

I never would have guess that Russia did not ban civil possession of pornography.

The world is changing as we know it.
