This would not have mattered in the past. But Abe is intent on putting Japan back on the militarist path, with Japanese soldiers in the Middle East to fight the US'S eternal wars, so Japan will be put on the terrorist map. Thank you Abe! (also Abe, it's the economy stupid?)

I would have thought they would have learned from battling the Japanese Red Army, Aum Shinrikyo, and others. But I guess not. Japan has a rich history of terrorism. Odd that they are still "novices."

Agree with Jeff Lee - this is very alarming if true. Japanese authorities have had two decades to get their act together and develop strategies after the dreadful domestic terrorism in the 1990s that destroyed hundreds of lives.
