I think this applies to most single men in Japan once they leave home and their mother's cooking.

I have met lots of men who have trouble with rice cookers, this has nothing to do with 3/11

I can never understand men (or women) who cannot cook. Buy a cookbook and follow the instructions, it's easy to cook basic dishes. Just the same for baking, there is no mystery involved.
