Comments like this make me think that all Japanese women are shallow, airheads. Thank goodness I know that is not the truth.

While it is true that all Japanese women are not airheads, it is also true that quite a number of them are. Just sit on the trains every day and observe the airheads putting on their makeup, and using all these "skin products." Despite the posters advising them to "do it at home" many of them ignore this request and continue with their midless pursuits, even though most people are nauseated by their performances.

Women will never learn that putting green herbs, fruits, veggies into their stomachs,is what will make them beautiful.

This opinion doesn't necessarily mean she is an airhead. When a woman focuses on her appearance to the detriment of her education and intellect and general interest in and awareness of the world around her, fair enough, she is an airhead. If, however, she is well-educated, well-read and has an enquiring mind, looking nice will be more of a help than a hindrance.

I would agree with Taniguchi. If you look like a slob you're going to be treated like a slob. There is nothing air headed about that. Haven't you people ever heard of "dress for success?"

This makes sense. She is a fashion stylist so she must remain stylish. Would you use her services if she looked otherwise?
It the same thing as a fitness expert who eats health and is in proper shape.
