I've been using these for two or three years now for my on-line bank transaction it's convenient but I believe you need to change the number generator every 10 years or so. Square Enix also provides a similar offer for their online games but through a smart phone apps.

Usually the one-time code will come thru your cell-phone as a text message. Many credit card companies use this system for online purchases. As long as you do not lose your cell-phone you are good.
