People will look back in a few years and say an economic revival started that day.

People will look back and wish their hard-earned savings still had some value after Abe's inflation-sponsoring policies send Japan's otherwise-stable consumer prices -- the best thing about the economy over these last 15 years -- sky-high, ruining all the diligent workers who put their money away for the future like any prudent person should do.

This may finally be what Japan needs. Forcing savings out of the Post Office and JGBs into something more productive.

Yes, it's political rhetoric, but everything starts with a dream/vision for the future. Perhaps Abe can actualize the dream. Without including how Japan actually works to eat itself, he might succeed if all the cards fall with luck. If there is no global financial collapse. If there are no more 9.0 quakes or tsunamis or aging infrastructure collapses or nuclear meltdowns to rival Chernobyl, to name just a few potential problems. Only a few years will tell. I suispect people won't be counting on it.
