So does that mean you'll rewrite it and give it a happy ending? Because knowing the Japanese penchant for downplaying the acts of violent criminals, particularly when that violence is directed at a foreigner, provides little faith. But I do have some suggestions.
Say...
Lindsay Hawkers father finds him while putting up wanted posters and rips him from limb to limb, literally.
or
While carousing about in Tokyo, a group of NOVA (maybe former NOVA) teachers see him and start stomping his face in.
