Though students may be feeling they are in an endless loop of frustration, I want them to know that there are many excellent smaller companies. Jobs at small and midsize companies should not be seen as less prestigious.

Absolutely agree! In addition, in smaller companies you would spend more time actually working, i.e doing something productive rather then going to useless meetings and playing politics.

they are though. everyone wants the "high status" job at the biggest corporations, even though the real benefits of these jobs are a thing of the past.
