So what if the government "wants" it. It's mostly the businesses and industries that count. And what they want is an excess supply cheap labor from the third world to carry out these tasks.

Robotic surgery is another boat Japan has missed in recent years.
The American da Vinci robotic surgery device has been installed in many Japanese hospitals.
Meanwhile, Japanese surgical robotics has been crippled by ridiculous regulation.
