Well, of course demand is dropping; the population is dropping. Japan lost over a quarter of a million people last year. However, given the aging of the fishermen as well, I think that the drop in demand is a good thing. In another 10 years we will have half the fishermen we have today. If the demand for fish didn't drop we would have a shortage of fish and sushi.
