We want to improve the environment for sex crime victims, so they feel more comfortable about filing a complaint.

A National Police Agency official. The NPA plans to set up “one-stop” support centers where victims of sex crimes can receive care and file a complaint, starting next fiscal year. Police officers and support staff will be stationed at hospitals, thereby allowing medical treatment, counseling and police interviews to be conducted in one place, to reduce the mental burden on victims. People here tell me that all the hours of paperwork to be filled out by victims is a deterrent in reporting the crimes. Maybe they could start there. No need for a victim to give the address and phone number of their parents AND all of their brothers and sisters AND their friends AND their employer AND... etc..... etc
