We want to show off the charm of Chinatown, and we're not going to turn away any new efforts.

    That's a good thing! The old Chinatown was expensive and not very good food as far as I'm concerned. Too much emphasis on 'exotic' food.

    of all the chinatowns in all the cities i've been to, yokohama's was the dreariest...typical of japan though

    Yokohama's is the cleanest Chinatown I've been there, but had the worst food and worst shops. It's the most touristy, too.
