Wearing shorts and T-shirts might make it bearable but that hardly fits with Japanese office culture.

Kozo Hirata, who studies clothing physiology at Kobe Women’s University, saying that Cool Biz—wearing lighter clothing at the office while air conditioners are set at 28 degrees in summer—doesn’t really make workers feel more comfortable. (Bloomberg)

    I'm sorry, but wearing an opened-collar short-sleeved buttoned-up makes me feel MUCH MUCH cooler than a long-sleeved shirt with a tie and a jacket.
