I saw this on the BBC - there was a boy done up as a manba, with long pink and blonde hair. Really weird. And the make-up was more extreme than anything I've ever seen in Japan.
The more they slap on the outside, the less there seems to be on the inside.

I saw a gaijin chara-o dude walking around town the other day, complete with bleached mullet, skinny jeans, black wife-beater and abundant cheap jewelry.
Also met a gaijin host once, with massive coiffed hair, huge sunglasses at night, an LV pocket pouch, and a short-skirted kyaba-jo hoochy in tow(also with gigantic hair)
Made my day.
