Without the TPP, Japan has no future. It would be hard for foreign firms to invest here if our country showed signs of being closed to the rest of the world.

Invest in Japan? closed to the rest of the world? are you serious? Is greater Europe part of TPP? NO. As far as I remember there are less than 20 countries who signed for the TPP. Just look how much havoc the FTA and deregulation brought to the rest of the world. CAPITALISM is an end to itself. USA wants this badly because OBAMA wants the vote with the strong lobbying from the agricultulture section...US can freely sell their products to Japan just like the Meiji era where Japan is a total subservient to the wishes of USA.
