Megumi Okina and Susumu Fujita
Actress Megumi Okina, 28, has just published her autobiography. In the book, she writes about her married life with ex-husband Susumu Fujita, 34, the charismatic president of Internet ad agency CyberAgent. While the 224-page book, titled “Rouge Aculeus,” focuses on Okina’s boyfriends and the abuse she suffered at their hands, at least half the book is about Fujita whom she divorced in 2005.
In 2004, Okina and Fujita’s marriage was dubbed a “celebrity marriage” by the media because he was president of a blue-chip IT company and owns 20 billion yen worth of shares in the company. But neither Okina nor Fujita talked about the reason for their divorce in 2005.
Okina says in the book, “I fell in love with him because he had a rustic personality and warm heart. But I didn’t know what he did.” She emphasizes that she didn’t fall for Fujita just because he was rich. She explains that she wanted to continue to work as an actress, but Fujita opposed the idea. She says he told her: “We have enough money. Why do you have to work? I have given you so much. What more do you want? What are you dissatisfied with? Surely, you must be happy.”
Although Okina describes Fujita as if he were obsessed with money, an acquaintance says: “When she visited Takafumi Horie’s house (former Livedoor CEO), she said ‘His apartment is larger than ours.’ After that, the two moved to another larger apartment in the same building as Horie’s in Roppongi Hills. I guess she persuaded Fujita to do so. I think she was enjoying the rich lifestyle he could give her.”
At the time of their divorce, Fujita was tight-lipped, telling the media, “We have some difficult issues we need to work out by ourselves.” A gossip reporter says, “When I asked him if the reason was infidelity on either side, he denied it in his case, but didn’t clearly deny it in her case.” In fact, Okina was spotted by tabloid media dating several guys just before the divorce.
A spokesperson for the publisher of the book, Huso, says, “Everybody is interested in the scandalous contents of the book. But it has much more. It has poems, essays and photographs. Overall, it is an artistic piece of work which reflects her lifestyle.”
Those who know Fujita are very sympathetic toward him following the book’s release. One friend said: “Why does she need to publish such a book two years after their divorce? It’s not an appropriate way for her to make a comeback to showbiz.”
He adds: “Maybe she is sending him a message saying that she wants more alimony or assets. Possibly, she thinks this publicity has publicized his company, too. In fact, Fujita’s personal net worth has doubled since he married Okina.” (Translated by Taro Fujimoto)

Autobiograpy at 28??? At that age you should be enjoying your life, not remembering the past. That is for retired 60 something that achieved something in life.

larguero, she retired from entertainment at 27. what would you expect from a talentless J-pop singer-turned actress whose bigger achievement in life was marrying a rich dude and when she was kicked out for fooling around she starts crying about the abuse she suffered from her boyfriends, maybe she can get some media attention again. So pathetic

heaven, it would seem, has nothing to do with it....
It sure is a mess. At least there weren't kids involved in the divorce.
