What the leftists don't acknowledge is that those "sweat shop" wages are empowering women in China and raising their status in a patriarchal society. Plus, it is about 200 years too late for the Brits to fret about conditions in the Orient they plundered for so long with such aplomb. neh?

How to make a bad article: Find an upcoming large event, like the Olympics. Find the most obvious scandalous topic, and "investigate" it. When investigation is not necessary, just write about it. The most painful about this is that the original author probably uses an Apple product (iPhone, iPod, also made by poorly paid workers in "Worker's paradise, China"), wears shoes made by Nike (just investigate how Nike used to treat their women employees in Indonesia) and drives a car running with blood oil from somewhere in the Middle East.

It is simply idiotic to focus on the stupid mascot only, while the complete outfits worn by most of the Olympics athletes are probably also made in China, Indonesia, Thailand, in bad working conditions for peanuts salary...
