    Actually since real swords are illegal this is the best they can do, but use of the word "fake" makes it seem like a cheap toy. The facsimiles have the weight, heft and appearance of real swords and are made with a considerable degree of craftsmanship, but their edges aren't sharp. Anyway during the ceremony the sword held by the tachimochi remains sheathed throughout.
