Can you imagine the government raising taxes to cover the upcoming 2020 Olympic debt? They are probably already planning it.

In the Tohoku rebuilding fund there is plenty of money left after making the whale hunting pleasant for whalers that hurt their feelings in the tsunami. Its available for Games, isn't it? It's not like it's going to be used for anything else, like rebuilding Tohoku or any such frivolous acts.

Ishihara won't be around for them IF Tokyo gets them anyway so why waste all the money? I agree, look at the GDP and debt and decide. That way, japan doesn't have a hope in hell!
