the Brave Blossom must be kicking themselves silly with letting Eddie Jones go. the best Coach in the game at present

John san, don't think J rugby could have kept him anyway. There are only very few coaching jobs in world rugby which are more sought-after than the England job and coaching Japan isnt one of them.

That pitch was an utter disgrace for the England - Australia game. Someone should be held responsible.

Steve Hansen would probably look at his trophy case and beg to differ. England should be number one in world rugby considering they have the most players and the most resources in terms of revenue. The fact they aren't probably reflects their persistence in hiring English coaches until this cycle. The first Southern Hemisphere coach to get that gig was going to do good thongs but given Eddies history we'll see how the team is in five years. Eddie has been fired a number of times. Time will tell.

I think Eddie has been the best coach recently. 3 wins from 4 games coaching the Japanese team at last year's world cup? I was shocked that he didn't win coach of the year for that.
Hansen is a decent coach, no doubt. But New Zealand are like the Brazil of soccer, or the USA of basketball. It's hard to judge the relative coaching quality on what is achieved with the best talent.

usually the winning coach gets that gong. Eddie failed to make the play offs. Odd that Goromaru beat out Ben Smith for fullback of the tourney but I guess he had a cute style.
