Hope Andruw can give us some good games at age 35. Over here he'll be a rookie as he adjusts to a new way of playing the sport, but some how this should give him some incentive to show his Major League talents.

He's had better days, but he is still a good player. I'm sure Rakuten fans will be glad to have him.

It was nice to see him play with Atlanta Braves back in the late 1990s. Great, I get the chance to see him play again here in Japan.

Yep, only because another misguided Japanese team is willing to shell out $3.5M. What would you have done, Hide-chan, refused Rakuten's offer?

I'll be interested to see what he does, but I'm not expecting it to be much. It's been a long time since he was what anyone would describe as a good player.
