The best Everton team I've seen for 25 years. A pity 3 of our top performers are on loan. I'm worried about when a money club will start waving wads of cash in front of Barkley.

The game was a joy to watch with quick attacking passing football from both teams. What I love about this season is defensive minded coaches (Mourinho, Moyes, Allardyce, ...) are starting to look like absolute dinosaurs.

I was fortunate to be at the game yesterday. Very impressed with Everton and if I were an Everton fan I would be more worried about losing their world-class manager Martinez. And that lad on loan from Barcelona is proving to be class. Giroud almost won it at the death but to be fair that would have been harsh on Everton.

Good to see young English talent. I'm not confident about England's chances in Brazil but I hope Hodgson gives the likes of Wiltshire and Barkley a chance. Our ageing, plodding midfield got annihilated by Germany in 2010 and maybe they can give top teams something to worry about for a change.

Everton are back.
