I knew she must have done well as soon as I heard people talking about figure skating on the train this morning. Had she done poorly, there would be no discussion. That said, I hope she can keep it up tonight.

As I wrote in this forum last (Friday) night, Mao looked terrific. But she has three Russian skaters close on her heels, so she must make no mistake in today's finale.
Moreover, the Russians have turned out quite a talented group of young skaters. They definitely are looking ahead to when they will be hosting the Winter Olympics. And with their talented skaters, they surely will pick up a medal or two.

Couldn't stop laughing after the women's free. Put your hands down on the ice twice and you too can win a gold! Please, Kim and Ando, come back.

Mao made many mistakes. I was surprised she won. She did not have a triple triple combination and messed up her double axel combination, also did not perform triple axel, messed another triple jump. I think figure skating judging is very suspicious as always.

I am really annoyed with Mao's victory, there were many mistakes and not clearn skating. And the Japanese commentators and Tv once again start their hysterics about Mao's superiority.
