Bass returns to Japan to mark Hanshin anniversary

One of my favorite all time foreign baseball players in Japan. I was at the game where he had a chance to break Sadaharu Oh's home run record, but he was walked four times and would have been walked five times if he hadn't swung at a very high pitch and tomahawked it into centerfield for a hit.Much to the chagrin of true baseball fans who were hoping to see the epic blast, most of use left the game disappointed I will never forget that ridiculous move on the part of the opposing team to walk Bass intentionally and NEVER give him a chance to swing at anything close to the plate! Oh's record has been broken, but still wish Randy would have had a chance!! Please enjoy your stay in Japan, Randy!! You deserve it!
