Was this even reported in Japan until now? Just wondering if a big deal has been made of it at all as I don't remember seeing it before.

As with the game in Japan when an Iranian player was insulted by fans, I'm not sure why the team hosting the game should be penalized. It's good that they offered an apology, but until fines are imposed in the entire soccer world not much is going to change among the fans. I DO like that they are trying to discourage racial taunts and what not, and I still think if they catch the people actually responsible they should be banned, though.
